Accounting Specialist
Location: Naugatuck, CT
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: 3 days per week, 8 hours per day
A manufacturing organization in the Naugatuck area is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a temporary opportunity. The position is expected to last approximately one month initially, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with purchasing and invoicing activities
- Process and maintain electronic transactions
- Prepare and enter journal entries
- Support day-to-day accounting operations as needed
- Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities based on workload
- Previous accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Self-directed and adaptable
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Experience with SAP or another accounting/ERP system
- Familiarity with EDI transactions
- 3 days per week, 8 hours per day
- Mondays and Fridays preferred, plus one flexible weekday
- Flexible start time between 7:00-9:00 AM
