Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state credential required)
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous classroom experience working with students with varying abilities
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide differentiated instruction tailored to students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Attend IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school functions as required
