Working part-time, you’ll contribute your expertise in a highly collaborative, supportive environment, guiding both the student and the school team in accessibility and accommodations.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia PSC certification with a Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement
• Skill in working with students who are visually impaired, ideally in a school setting
• Experience implementing IEPs and monitoring student progress
• Knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility strategies
• Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, specialized instruction as outlined in the student’s IEP (two 30-minute sessions per month)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to develop and implement appropriate accommodations and accessible learning strategies
• Ensure instructional materials and classroom activities are accessible for the student’s unique needs
• Offer expert guidance on assistive technology, accessibility methods, and accommodations to optimize learning
• Monitor the student’s vision-related progress and advocate for necessary services or adjustments
• Maintain compliance with all IEP requirements while fostering a supportive, inclusive learning experience
