Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our sales team and drive growth in a dynamic New Jersey territory. We're looking for someone with at least three years of experience in a brand support or sales role, along with distributor management experience and strong relationships with key accounts and distributor partners. Experience working with or for a wholesaler is preferred.

In this role, success comes from the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues, customers, and wholesaler partners while bringing a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability to the work. A solid understanding of the alcohol category and a passion for sharing knowledge with wholesalers, retailers, and consumers will help you unlock growth opportunities. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys the energy of the on-premise channel and can capitalize on seasonal market opportunities. You can expect to spend over 70% of your time in the market visiting accounts, partnering with distributor representatives, building relationships, and supporting consumer-facing activation events.

Strong organizational skills, including time management and territory planning, will set you up for success. Comfort with tools like Microsoft 365 or similar platforms, CRM systems such as KARMA, and expense tools like Concur, along with a willingness to learn new systems, is important.

This is a salaried, full-time position. The salary range is $74,000-$90,000, with offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for our sales incentive program, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $7,500 annually.

You'll be supported through a comprehensive onboarding experience both at our Portland, Maine brewery and within the New Jersey market. We plan for at least two trips to the brewery each year to connect in person with the broader team and spend time immersed in all things Allagash. Additional travel may come up depending on business needs.

This role includes some evening and weekend hours, as well as regular travel throughout the territory. A valid driver's license is required. The ideal candidate will be based within the territory, including Somerset, Middlesex, Union, Essex, Lower Bergen, or Morris County.
