Dental Assistant — Part-Time Advanced Dental Specialists – Franklin , Franklin, WI 53132. We’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our specialty dental office. Schedule Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Part‑time; not eligible for benefits. Additional hours may be considered for HD Flex opportunities on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday depending on experience and business needs. What We’re Looking For 2–3 years of Dental Assistant experience General dentistry experience required Oral surgery Dental Assistant experience preferred Strong chairside assisting skills Ability to work confidently in a specialty dental setting Excellent communication and patient care skills Dependable attendance and a team‑focused attitude Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients; sustain comfort and provide education throughout treatment. Conduct a thorough review of patient health history to ensure quality care. Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography, etc.). Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) during procedures in accordance with state dental practice act. Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping. Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels; place and expedite orders as needed. Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow. Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment. Dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification if required by state practice act. Excellent communication and organizational skills. HIPAA training and PHI protection. Preferred Experience 1+ year in a dental setting. Experience with Dentrix or other dental software. Dental assisting school certification. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Prolonged periods sitting and standing. Lift and carry up to 45 lbs at times. Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions. TB test required for new hires in dental office positions (per state requirements).
