Certifications: Requires advanced certification in CT.
Must-Have: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.


Description:
Conduct procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, assist patients and family members that require extra attention, and ensure patient safety.
Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols.
Establish intravenous lines and administer IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures.
Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS, and transmit images to quality control and electronic medical records.
Verify and segment images at the quality control station and access service tools to verify image transmission.
Complete, modify, and/or cancel orders in an appropriate and timely manner.
Ensure all charge information is accurate and verify patient identification in accordance with policy.
Perform tasks in a timely manner, create a consistent workflow, and volunteer for challenging tasks and new research.
Produce quality diagnostic images and review patient charts and reports for correlation.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and document incidents for improvement opportunities.
Precept new employees and students.
