Details Acute high-risk Labor & Delivery unit caring for antepartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum patients Facility performs approximately 200-300 births per month Patient ratios of 1:1-2 in Labor & Delivery and 1:3 in Antepartum Epic EMR experience required Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Weekend rotation required No on-call responsibilities Trauma Level II unit Requirements Active CA RN license Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications C-EFM certification required Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience Epic charting system experience required Must pass onsite EKG competency test with a minimum score of 80% Prior travel nursing experience required Skilled in fetal monitoring including external and internal EFM and IUPC placement/calibration Experienced in high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and postpartum hemorrhage management Proficient in medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives Additional Information Provide direct patient care, coordinate plans of care, and support patient/family education across the antepartum-to-postpartum continuum Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure timely, effective communication Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate Returning travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year prior to reapplying 7-year work history verification required for all candidates Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing All compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start date American Traveler Job ID P-748097.
