Job Location: VOACC - Rochester, NY 14608 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $18.50 - $19.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Negligible Make a difference in a family's life! We are expanding our preschool program. VOA Upstate New York's Children's Center services provide educational programs focused on early childhood development and school readiness for children 6 weeks through 12 years old. The center serves more than 200 children and families on an annual basis. Classroom Aide Preschool Job Summary As a Classroom Aide at VOA, you would help to provide for all aspects of care and education in a Pre-K classroom. Working as a team, Classroom Aides together with Lead teachers ensure we are able to meet each child's individual needs. Responsibilities Assists in providing active, fully engaged supervision of the children at all times. Provide coverage in any classroom as needed to maintain ratios. Help to meet each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs. Assist in maintaining classroom cleanliness and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including state child care licensing regulations, accreditation standards and Pre-Kindergarten standards. Organize and Implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities under the direction of the classroom teacher, reinforcing educational goals, attending to the individual needs of the children. Qualifications High School Diploma, required Minimum of one year of classroom experience with the applicable age range, required Child Development Associate (CDA), preferred Ability to bass OCFS Complete Background Check including SEL, SCR Knowledge of NYS OCFS regulations strongly desired Benefits Competitive Pay Paid Time Off Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Company Paid Life & LTD Insurance 403(b), & more!
