CDR General Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Shipfitter to join our team in Charleston, MO . Position Details

• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Location: Charleston, MO
• Pay Rate: $28.00–$31.00/hour DOE
• Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Measure, lay out, fit, and assemble metal components according to project requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding and fabrication processes.
• Verify dimensions and ensure proper fit-up of components.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous fitting or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong knowledge of measuring tools, layout techniques, and metal fitting practices.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and productivity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
