Our client seeks a PGO Training and Workforce Program Manager to set strategic direction and manage lighting training initiatives within Power Grid Operations. The role defines and delivers training programs aligned to workforce strategies and operational objectives, serves multiple customer groups, and partners with leaders across the organization. The Program Manager oversees projects, schedules, and budgets, evaluates impacts, and communicates progress while driving continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.

Lighting/outdoor lighting/utilities background is NOT required

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert and manager for PGO lighting training programs, including initial, continuing, and emergent curricula.
  • Lead the ADDIE process to implement lighting training initiatives.
  • Engage business unit leaders and SMEs to establish strategies, priorities, and program direction.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor lighting program activities to meet scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Manage program costs and assess impacts of change.
  • Remain current on business developments and industry trends to determine impacts on skills and capabilities.
  • Create solutions to reconcile training discrepancies and identify strategic cost improvements.
  • Inform and direct stakeholders regarding lighting activities and communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Provide strategic input for current and future lighting program development.

Experience Requirements

  • Six or more years of related work experience with a bachelor’s or technical degree, or ten or more years of related work experience with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated project management experience delivering training or development initiatives.
  • Experience with training methodologies and the ADDIE framework.
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate issues, form conclusions, and recommend actions.
  • Group facilitation and change management skills with the ability to influence and lead.
  • Ability to compare alternative courses of action and select appropriate solutions with ownership of outcomes.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree required. In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED with ten years of related experience accepted.
  • Master’s degree desired.

Travel

  • Travel will be required once the training schedule is determined and training plan/rollout has been approved by leadership. – will be traveling to all other locations including, FL, Kentucky, NC – will be reimbursed for hotels and airfare
