Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in South Portland, Maine.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: MRI Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 26 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 7, 2026\n Length: 26 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT(MR) or AMRIT certification for an outpatient sports medicine and orthopedic setting.Details\n \n Outpatient coverage across MaineHealth Medical Group and MMCP locations, splitting time between Ortho and a second campus location\n Facility uses 1.5T and 3T Philips Ingenia MRI scanners\n Technologist will work alongside one tech aide or a second technologist, never alone\n Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM\n No call requirements\n No floating required beyond a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed\n Uses Epic EMR\n Requirements\n \n ARRT(MR) or AMRIT certification required\n License required if applicable\n Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required\n Philips MR scanner experience required\n Experience with Level 1 trauma, anesthesia, and ICU patients strongly recommended\n Experience with Neuro imaging (spine, brain, brain perfusion), Body imaging (abdomen, MRCP, kidney, pelvis), and all MSK imaging\n No experience required in Breast, Cardiac, or Prostate imaging\n Driver's License required for consideration\n 2 professional references required\n Additional Information\n \n Support a mix of inpatient and outpatient MRI cases across multiple sites\n Strong focus on quality, patient-centered care\n Team-oriented environment requiring good communication, reliability, and flexibility\n Must be a self-initiator capable of running protocols as written\n Scrubs of any color accepted except hospital-issued scrubs\n First-time travelers may be considered\n Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are welcome but not eligible for renewals or extensions\n Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this upon consideration\n RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-747289.
