Background Investigator

6 - 12 Months contract with possible extension Richmond, VA hybrid onsite This role will be responsible for adjudicating Criminal Background Screens and performing individualized assessments on complex cases to make a determination on employment eligibility in accordance with procedures, applicable laws, and regulations. The ability to exercise superior judgment is a plus for this role, as is the ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively problem solve. The performer will be able to research and interpret appropriate legal statutes to aid in the decisioning process. This role will also handle escalated/sensitive inquiries while working in an agile environment. A successful candidate would offer and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, compliance adherence and enhance the candidate and associate experiences. General Responsibilities: Execution of applicable HR processes & programs Adjudicate background screenings based on criminal, education, and work history Support compliance changes, updates and initiatives Contact candidates to resolve discrepancies as needed Work with vendor to address minor candidate background issues Ideal Candidate: Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow written policy, use critical thinking/problem solving skills to adjudicate complex cases Possess cognitive flexibility, time management skills, and task initiation Ability to navigate complex and sensitive subject matter in a poised and professional manner Possess a high level of integrity Experience in a role requiring decisioning applications using good judgement #J-18808-Ljbffr Artech L.L.C.
