Stress Analyst

EVONA

Job Description

Structural / Stress Analyst | Launch Vehicles & Propulsion

\n

\n

I'm partnering with an ambitious, well-funded aerospace company developing advanced reusable launch technology, with the goal of fundamentally changing the economics of access to space.

\n

\n

They're looking for a Structural / Stress Analyst to work across launch vehicle structures, rocket engines, and other critical flight hardware.

\n

\n

This isn't a role where you'll spend your time running repetitive simulations with little visibility of the end product. You'll work closely with design and test engineers, see your analysis influence real hardware decisions, and have the opportunity to get involved across multiple areas of the vehicle.

\n

\n

What you'll be doing:

\n
    \n
  • Perform structural analysis on launch vehicle and propulsion hardware, assessing strength, stability, fatigue, and fracture.
  • \n
  • Develop FEA models using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar tools to evaluate complex loading conditions and failure modes.
  • \n
  • Work directly with design engineers to identify structural risks and improve component performance.
  • \n
  • Develop load cases, structural substantiation, and qualification plans.
  • \n
  • Support hands-on structural testing, correlate results with analytical predictions, and refine models.
  • \n
  • Develop tools and automation to improve analysis efficiency and accuracy.
  • \n
\n

\n

What we're looking for:

\n
    \n
  • 3–5+ years of experience in structural/stress analysis within aerospace, propulsion, launch vehicles, or similarly demanding engineering environments.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics, including static strength, fatigue, and fracture.
  • \n
  • Practical experience with commercial FEA tools (ANSYS or NASTRAN).
  • \n
  • Some experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting tools.
  • \n
  • Engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems and collaborating closely with hardware teams.
  • \n
\n

\n

Why consider it?

\n

\n

✅ Real hardware, real impact – See your analysis translate directly into design changes, qualification testing, and flight-ready components.

\n

✅ Variety of engineering challenges – Work across vehicle structures, propulsion, or both, rather than being restricted to one narrow subsystem.

\n

✅ Accelerated technical development – Learn from highly capable engineers in a fast-moving environment where you'll be trusted with meaningful responsibility.

\n

✅ Close to the action – Work alongside design, manufacturing, and test teams in a hardware-focused engineering environment.

\n

✅ Long-term opportunity – Competitive compensation, equity, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to contribute to an ambitious reusable launch program.

\n

\n

If you're a structural analyst who enjoys the technical challenge of aerospace engineering and wants to be closer to the hardware you're helping develop, I'd love to hear from you.
