About AmTab
AmTab designs, manufactures, and furnishes modern learning environments from our facility in Bensenville, IL. We’re expanding and looking for a Die Maker who takes pride in precision and reliability.
Role snapshot- Build and repair: progressive dies and single-station dies for production.
- Jigs and fixtures: develop, maintain, and improve tooling that supports furniture manufacturing.
- Documentation: produce tooling layouts, detailed drawings, and final assembly documentation.
- Maintenance: sharpen and service dies to maintain tight tolerances and uptime.
- Improvement: lead continuous improvement initiatives across tooling, products, and processes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and certifications.
- 3+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker/Machinist or closely related role.
- Proven Tool and Die experience (non-negotiable).
- Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Remain stationary for extended periods as job tasks require.
- Equipment troubleshooting and general problem-solving.
- Metal stamping/forming with progressive die systems.
- Manual machining expertise.
- Tool/die/mold repair and setup.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Manual grinder and jig grinder.
- CNC lathe (2–4 axis).
- Manual vertical mill.
