Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join a growing finance and accounting organization. This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional with strong general ledger expertise, a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, and experience supporting accurate and timely month‑end close. The Senior GL Accountant will own key areas of the general ledger, prepare and review reconciliations and journal entries, investigate variances, and partner across the organization to maintain accurate financial records and strengthen accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Own assigned areas of the general ledger and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and other accounting adjustments Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items Perform account analysis and investigate unusual transactions or variances Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting Maintain supporting documentation and schedules for key accounts Assist with external and internal audit requests Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and close efficiency Partner with FP&A, AP, AR, payroll, tax, and other teams to resolve accounting issues Support accounting system enhancements, process documentation, and other finance initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant general ledger experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month‑end close processes Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement analysis Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems High attention to detail with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet close deadlines in a fast‑paced environment What We’re Looking For You are a technically strong, dependable accountant who takes ownership of your work and understands how individual transactions flow through the financial statements.
