Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will assist with clinical procedures, laboratory duties, patient communication, and daily clinic operations while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care under the direction of physicians or clinical supervisors.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Perform EKGs, ear lavages, venipuncture, and assist with minor procedures.
• Collect, process, and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and clean/sterilize instruments.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records and enter encounters and test requisitions.
• Answer phones, triage calls, and provide front-office support as needed.
• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions as directed by providers.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and company policies.
• Provide professional and patient-focused customer service.
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience administering medications and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Ability to perform EKGs.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Prior outpatient or clinic-based experience.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems .
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding .
