Title
RN - Ambulatory OR (ENT & Ophthalmology focus)

Schedule
Shift: 8-hour days, 07:00-16:00

Assignment Details
Assignment length: 18 weeks

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
- Traveler experience: 1st-time travelers accepted if RN can scrub and has strong ENT experience
- Charting system experience: Epic required
- Required certification: BLS
- Required clinical skills:
- ENT scrub skills: endoscopic sinus procedures, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, radical neck dissection, laryngectomy
- Ear procedures: mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy; pediatric myringotomy with tubes
- Emergency/OR safety: code response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia, latex allergy awareness
- Professional: specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (time-out)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for various ENT and eye surgical procedures.
- Assist with surgeries by providing necessary instrumentation and support.
- Monitor patient conditions pre- and post-operatively, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery.

Compliance / Notes
- After booking, RTO is not allowed, and any additional call-offs may lead to cancellation.
- Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only.
- Orientation and charting requirements must be completed per facility policy.
