Details Inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts Weekend and holiday shifts required as needed Floating required to similar units No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic charting experience required Additional Information Provides comprehensive nursing care to a designated group of Med/Surg patients including assessments, care planning, and medication administration Receives bedside shift report and delegates tasks to health care technicians Completes hourly rounding, care plan documentation, and patient education for assigned patients Maintains patient safety through fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and isolation precaution compliance Facilitates timely admission, discharge, and testing completion for Observation status patients Collaborates within an interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break in service before returning American Traveler Job ID P-737790.
