Responsibilities of a CDL-A Delivery Driver

As a CDL-A Delivery Driver, your primary duty will be to ensure the timely delivery of products that keep restaurants, retailers, and convenience stores stocked and operational.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer and submit a DOT inspection report detailing its condition.
• Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys for off-hour deliveries.
• Drive the tractor-trailer to designated locations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and demonstrating skill in vehicle maneuvering.
• Maintain a driver log in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions.
• Unload the trailer and deliver products to customer locations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications for CDL-A Teammates

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• Have a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet the organization's MVR and risk rating standards.
• This role requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions and safety protocols.
