Your tasks at AKG
- Conducting incoming inspections of purchased parts, particularly dimensional inspections
- Inspecting steel parts, piping, attachments, and similar components
- External acceptance inspections and tests (FAI) of components directly at the supplier’s site (travel required approx. 30%, worldwide)
- Conducting initial sampling of supplier components
- Independently handling supplier complaints (in writing via email)
- Using SAP QM modules for documentation and inspection planning
What we require from you
- Completed training as an industrial mechanic, toolmaker, or similar, or relevant experience in operational quality management
- Willingness to travel (worldwide)
- Basic knowledge of SAP, ideally the QM module
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately, including those of complex components (knowledge of form and position tolerances is a plus)
- Experience working with testing and measuring equipment
- Very good command of German and good written and spoken English
