QA Inspector - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspection and test of subassemblies, units, and components. Inspect returned products to determine root cause of problems. Engage with engineering, sales, production, and external customers. Travel to customer sites as required. Check parts using specific inspection procedures, reading instruments, and test sets where variations and limits are prescribed. Offer training to employees to improve quality and establish processes. Determine reasons for defects and provide the reason code in the RGA log. Apply mechanical skills and electrical motor knowledge to analyze failures and determine causes. Assist engineering and work with minimal supervision. Operate quality‑specific software to track warranty data. Maintain a clean and orderly work area (5S standard). Follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure personal and coworker safety. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Thorough knowledge of gear reducer assembly, machining operations of parts, quality, and engineering specifications. Ability to perform tasks based on verbal instructions and interpret documents such as specifications, routings, engineering drawings, test equipment, and information. Accurate inspection skills critical to customer and business. Knowledge of gauging techniques, blueprint reading/tolerance, and SPC sample plan.
