The Kessous Law Group, LLC is a growing Law Firm in Mercer County, New Jersey, with attorneys serving many counties across New Jersey for over 27 years.

This position involves representing clients in Municipal Courts and Criminal Matters, handling cases from initial consultation through resolution, and providing high-quality legal counsel in a fast-paced environment.  We are also looking to expand our practice to further serve our clients with Immigration-related assistance.

·         Represent clients in NJ Municipal Courts, including matters involving traffic violations, DUI/DWI, disorderly persons offenses, and local ordinance violations

·         Handle criminal defense cases in Superior Court, including indictable offenses from arraignment through trial or plea negotiations

·         Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents

·         Appear in court regularly and manage a consistent caseload independently

·         Communicate effectively with clients, prosecutors, judges, and court staff

·         Negotiate plea agreements and advocate for favorable outcomes

·         Provide strategic legal advice tailored to each client’s situation

·         Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures

·         Provide Immigration services assistance

·         Experience handling DUI/DWI and traffic-related offenses

·         Trial experience or strong interest in litigation

·         Experience with Clio legal practice management software preferred

·         Experience in handling Immigration applications & litigation

·         Spanish language fluency is required

·         Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

·         Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey

·         1–5 years of experience in Municipal Court and/or Criminal Defense with Immigration services

·         Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

·         Familiarity with New Jersey court rules and procedures
