Athletic Trainer (Temporary)

Position Overview The Temporary Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in the overall administration of the athletic training program. Primary responsibilities include supervision and management of athletic training services for assigned sports teams, injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing practice and game/event coverage, including travel. The selected candidate must communicate effectively with the head athletic trainer, team physicians, and coaches. This is a 10‑month appointment with a variable work schedule based on sport assignment. Responsibilities Assist the Head Athletic Trainer with program administration. Supervise and manage athletic training services for assigned sports teams. Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation. Cover practices, games, and events, including travel as required. Communicate effectively with team physicians, coaches, and the athletic staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel required. Preferred Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field. Required License or Certification NATABOC Certification, eligible for NC licensure.
