Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Inventory Specialist – Dade City, Florida

A growing infrastructure services company is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support operations at its Dade City warehouse. This position is responsible for receiving and issuing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, tracking serialized equipment, and ensuring materials are organized and available to support field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.

  • Accurately record inventory transactions in the company’s inventory management system.

  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage locations.

  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Issue materials, tools, and equipment to field personnel and project teams.

  • Track serialized equipment, including calibration and repair status.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, transfers, and adjustments.

  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.

  • Coordinate material transfers between warehouse locations and project sites.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.

  • Stage and prepare materials for upcoming projects.

  • Support annual physical inventory counts.

  • Maintain receiving, shipping, asset-tracking, and inventory documentation.

  • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • At least one year of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, or related experience preferred.

  • Experience using inventory management or warehouse software preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Forklift certification—or the ability to obtain certification—is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within the telecommunications, construction, utilities, or infrastructure industries.

  • Experience tracking serialized equipment and consumable inventory.

  • Familiarity with cycle-counting and inventory-reconciliation processes.

  • Experience with SiteSense or a similar warehouse or inventory management platform.
