Position Summary As a Mammographer, you will play a critical role in our mission to provide high-quality mammography services for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases across patients of all ages. Under the general supervision of the Breast Imaging Manager, you will perform mammography exams, maintain radiologic equipment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. You may also have opportunities to work in other areas or modalities as needed, leveraging your expertise to support our department’s goals. The position is Monday – Friday day schedule. Benefit from having Holidays and weekends off. No on-call or working overnights required. Key Responsibilities Include Perform high-quality mammography exams in accordance with established protocols to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment. Operate and maintain radiologic and mammography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable experience. Provide technical supervision and mentorship to staff technologists and students, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines. Job Requirements Required Education Completion of a two-year, post-high school training program in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. MSRT/ARRT (Mammography) certification required upon hire. Valid Massachusetts State Radiology/Mammography License required upon hire. Required Experience Requires knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic equipment to include mammography. 2-3 years of experience as a Mammographer, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnostic radiology and mammography procedures. Preferred Experience & Skills Advanced knowledge of mammography equipment operation and maintenance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and collaborate with colleagues. Ability to provide technical supervision and mentor less experienced staff or students.
