Contract | Days | Full-Time | 4x10s, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | One night of call per week and one weekend per month | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in the perioperative setting in accordance with established Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care while promoting cooperation among the health care team.
• Function in an expanded RN role, exemplifying leadership and professionalism in the implementation of the RNFA role.
• Operate within facility policies and guidelines, reporting directly to the Director of Perioperative Services.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities, including one night of call per week and one weekend per month.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course.
• Minimum three years of scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved vendor.
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification required.
• Current Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).
• Experience in orthopedics, orthopedic total joints, gynecology, and general surgery.
• Annual surgeon review as required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrated leadership and professionalism within a perioperative or surgical services environment.
