Environmental Scientist

Overview The Axel Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our client’s team in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. This reputable environmental consulting firm helps developers, attorneys, and lenders manage environmental challenges with confidence. The firm is growing regularly, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience and is skilled in writing Phase II reports. Base pay $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Responsibilities Must demonstrate the ability to work outdoors and oversee subcontractors in all weather conditions Must demonstrate the ability to conduct fieldwork including site inspections, soil and groundwater sampling, geophysical oversight, monitoring well installations, and other environmental remediation and monitoring fieldwork activities Must demonstrate an ability to communicate with supervisors and project managers from the field and possess the ability to make informed decisions Technical writing/grammar skills are necessary Prior experience with conducting Phase I and Phase II ESA’s is required Prior experience conducting ACMs, and Indoor Air Sampling a plus Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, or related scientific discipline 3-10 years of technical experience in the environmental consulting/engineering industry Detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate with clients and other staff, and prepare technical field notes and reports Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Attention to detail, quality of work, initiative, and ability to make technical decisions; excellent verbal and written communication skills Initial 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and/or 8 Hour Refresher is a plus Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance 401K with Employer Match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Monthly Bonus and End of Year Bonus Mileage Reimbursement Short and Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance Health and Wellness Reimbursement Employment details Seniority level : Not Applicable Employment type : Full-time Job function : Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr The Axel Group, LLC
