The TSQ Specialist provides technical expertise and project-based support across safety, training, quality, and onboarding initiatives. This role partners closely with operations teams, new hires, and customers to ensure alignment with safety standards, training requirements, onboarding expectations, and quality objectives. Responsibilities include field observations, PPE issuance, customer site walks, and ensuring all safety documentation-including permits, JHAs, and site-specific plans-is completed per customer standards. In addition to field-facing responsibilities, the TSQ Specialist plays a key role in onboarding and leadership development efforts by helping design and deliver training programs that support new employee integration, frontline leader readiness, and continuous improvement across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Support new-hire onboarding through orientation sessions, field integration check-ins, and coordination of required safety and technical training
- Assist in developing and enhancing leadership development content for supervisors, crew leads, and emerging leaders
- Design and deliver targeted training programs based on field observations, compliance gaps, onboarding feedback, and operational requests
- Support curriculum development for in-person, virtual, and digital training formats
- Conduct documented site observations for ISP/OSP projects to assess safety, training, and quality needs
- Issue and track PPE for project teams
- Participate in site walks with customers to ensure compliance and alignment with expectations
- Verify completion of safety documentation (permits, JHAs, site-specific plans) per customer requirements (Project Specialist)
- Perform risk assessments for high-risk activities and scopes of work
- Support incident analysis for injuries, significant near-hit occurrences and avoidable auto incidents
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety and quality into project planning
- Implement and track corrective actions identified through audits
- Provide coaching and mentoring to field leaders to reinforce leadership expectations and behavior-based safety practices
- Maintain accurate records of compliance, observations, onboarding progress, and training activities
- Assist the TSQ team with additional responsibilities as needed
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, training practices, and adult learning principles
- Experience supporting onboarding and/or leadership development program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with operations teams, new hires, and customer
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with telecom and fiber industry terminology and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in the field
- Bilingual proficiency preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in safety, quality, onboarding, or training roles within a project-based environment
- Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with safety documentation processes and customer compliance standards
