Job TitleSaint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join the team on our CVU floor with the possibility to cross-train in the ICU!Employment Type: Full timeShift: 12 Hour Night ShiftDescription: We are offering a very competitive sign on bonus for eligible candidates that meet our minimum requirements! Shift Full-time night shift (7:00 pm - 7:00 am) / Every other weekend & rotating holiday's The staff nurse is a registered professional nurse who plans and renders nursing care within an assigned nursing unit. He/she gives direct patient care and maintains clinical records reflecting the patient's condition, medication, treatment, examination, and progress according to the Delaware Nursing Practice Act and St. Francis Hospital's policies and procedures.Responsibilities include:Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.Discusses with and includes patient and/or family, significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.Instructs and documents patient in follow-up care/ activities in preparation for transfer/discharge.Evaluates the patient's/significant other's understanding of instructions.Qualified candidates will possess the following:Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferredActive RN Licensure in State of DelawareBLS Certification requiredAt least two years' of step down or PCU experience requiredMust obtain ACLS Certification within 3 months of hireWe offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including:Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage (Effective First day of Hire)Retirement Savings ProgramPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementFree ParkingAnd more!Our CommitmentRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
