Airport Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Supervisor

Responsibilities The Airport Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Supervisor provides fire prevention and suppression services to all City of Dayton Aviation facilities. Also, directs protection operations to minimize loss of life and property and to ensure emergency medical and rescue services are provided as needed. Provides emergency care for people when warranted and provides rescue efforts involving aircraft passengers and crew members. Directs the emergency responses to fire alarms, aircraft alerts and hazardous material incidents. As a member of the management team, the incumbent will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Must be able to perform all approved medical care techniques of the Greater Miami Valley Emergency Medical Services Commission (GGMVEMSC), Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Division, or its medical advisors. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or related field AND 4 years firefighting experience, with at least 1 year as an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter;OR License Requirements Must have a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.
