Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift

Phlebotomist Opportunity

Pride Health is hiring for a phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility based in Hellertown, PA. This is a 3-month assignment with a possibility of extension and conversion into a full time opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• Performs blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups.
• Performs specimen processing in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
• Performs order entry; retrieves and verifies patient collection data and patient special notations using appropriate sources.

Education/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomist at least 3 years of experience of Phlebotomy. The more experience the better.

Location: Hellertown, PA. Schedule: 1st Shift - M-F-7am-1pm and every other Saturday 7am-11am. Pay Range: $18 - $21.79/hr. Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
