Project Engineer III

Lead and execute technical projects Ensure successful integration of engineering solutions Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects Balance technical, cost, and schedule constraints Provide technical estimation support and develop Basis of Estimates Conduct trade studies and lead technical evaluations Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Develop and manage Statements of Work Coordinate with contracts and quality teams Support Risk and Opportunity management Communicate and coordinate across engineering and functional teams Communicate project status to technical and programmatic audiences Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team Serve as a bridge between Engineering and Program offices Resolve conflicts and represent stakeholders, support functions, and customers Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience Typically 5+ years of related experience Strong technical foundation for project/programmatic skills Ability to lead small cross-functional teams and projects Advanced technical knowledge and expertise in the relevant engineering discipline Strong project management skills Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills General knowledge of two or more functional disciplines outside of engineering Thorough knowledge and understanding of risk and opportunity management Expertise in communicating and coordinating across engineering and functional teams Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts, plans, and actions PMP certification (preferred) Experience with systems engineering and integration (preferred) Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project and Primavera (preferred) Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools (preferred) Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (preferred) Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) (preferred) Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies (preferred) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (preferred) Experience developing and managing project budgets (preferred) Core Competencies Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge and expertise in engineering disciplines, with strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
