SCIENCE TEACHER Location: Hopewell Junior School, West Chester, Ohio. Overview The Lakota Local School District serves more than 18,000 students. A Junior High Science Teacher will provide engaging, developmentally appropriate and content-rich instruction to grades 7-8. Responsibilities Provide engaging instruction aligned with Ohio Learning Standards, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and facilitate critical thinking, problem solving, and personal development. Collaborate with staff, families, and community to support student growth across academic, social, and emotional domains. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education. Valid Ohio Grades 7-12 Science teaching license. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Effective classroom management strategies that promote engagement and productivity. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction and assessment. Adaptability to adjust instruction to meet student needs and learning styles. Working Conditions Full-time, 7.75 hours per day, 184 days per school year.
