Dedicated CDL Driver

Job Description

We collect used cooking oil and service grease traps for restaurants across our service region. The driver runs routes out of our north New Jersey yard in a vacuum truck.

What you'll do

Drive a vacuum/pump tank truck on local routes, including tight lots and alleys.
Connect hoses, run the pump, and empty customer oil containers.
Pump out and clean indoor grease traps and outdoor in-ground interceptors, including removing lids and manhole covers and scraping out solids.
Lift and carry 5-gallon pails weighing 40 lbs to 50 lbs, and move drums with a hand truck.
Record the gallons and complete service records at each stop, with photos, using a smartphone app.
Do pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections, and fully clean out the tank between trap and oil runs.
Keep oil free of water and trap waste, and clean up spills.
Work outdoors in all weather, with strong odors and wet, greasy surfaces, early-morning starts, and overtime as routes require.

Requirements

At least 21 years old
Valid CDL Class B driver's license with a tank endorsement
DOT medical card
Ability to read and speak English as required by DOT rules
Driving record that meets company standards
Pass DOT pre-employment requirements
Vacuum truck, grease trap, or liquid waste experience preferred

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–10+ hour shifts
