# RN Clinic## Description## **JOB SUMMARY:*** A registered Nurse (RN) in the rural health clinic provides comprehensive patient care, including assessments, treatments, and health education for individuals across all age groups**.**This position is located primarily at our Edgar and Nelson Nebraska locations.**PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:**1. Adheres to Brodstone Healthcare’s Mission, Vision and Values.2. Adheres to Brodstone Healthcare’s Standards of Behavior.3. Be able to start IV’s, administer IV medication as ordered along with mixing the proper medication, including IV solutions.4. Performs general nursing care to patients.5. Administrates prescribed medication and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and reports any reactions to provider.6. Prepares equipment and aids provided during treatments, examinations and testing of patients.7. Maintains timely flow of patients, ensures priority is given to emergency situations.8. Admits patients to rooms, screen for proper information and prepares for physical examination.9. Assists in scheduling additional patient testing.10. Anticipates providers needs for any patient exams or procedures.11. Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.12. Instructs patients and family on medication and treatment instructions.13. Provides proper charting.14. Alerts provider to phone messages from hospital, or other physicians, and handles appropriately.15. May need to work extended hours, help cover lunch breaks and work on Saturdays as scheduled.16. Be able to cover for Nurse Manager during their absence as needed.17. Assist other nursing personnel with performance of their duties as assigned and as the workload permits. Function as relief for other personnel as appropriate and to facilitate coworkers taking time off, such as personal days.18. Follows correct procedures for the handling and disposing of biohazardous infectious waste.19. Complies with safety procedures.20. Attends and participates in departmental meetings / in-services, Brodstone Healthcare quality improvement program, etc.21. Performs other duties as assigned.## Qualifications## **EDUCATION:*** Required + Associate's Degree* Preferred + Bachelor's Degree**EXPERIENCE:*** Preferred + 1-2 Years in clinic nursing**CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:*** **Required** + State of Nebraska RN License or Multi-State RN License + BLS certification within 3 months of employment*Join Brodstone Healthcare and have a lasting impact on Rural Nebraska!* #J-18808-Ljbffr
