AML Advisory Team Lead

Apply advanced knowledge of U.S. anti-financial crime regulations, including anti-money laundering, sanctions compliance, and customer due diligence requirements, within the assigned business area. Familiarity with additional international AML frameworks is considered an advantage. Serve as a compliance advisor to business partners across client-facing teams, onboarding, and operational functions, providing guidance on AML and KYC-related matters. Review and resolve complex customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and onboarding issues, providing recommendations for higher-risk cases and supporting business stakeholders with escalations. Manage a portfolio of compliance reviews while meeting established service levels, identifying matters requiring senior-level input when appropriate. Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal compliance policies, procedures, and governance documentation. Coordinate and prepare documentation requested during internal reviews, independent audits, and regulatory examinations. Conduct quality assurance reviews of higher-risk customer files to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations, internal controls, and risk management standards. Act as a senior resource for complex KYC and due diligence inquiries, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve challenging cases. Deliver guidance and knowledge-sharing sessions to business and operational teams on customer due diligence standards, escalation procedures, and regulatory expectations. Participate in compliance-related initiatives, process improvements, and technology enhancement projects designed to strengthen financial crime risk management and sanctions controls.
