RN - ICU

Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care for patients in a comprehensive stroke center. The nurse will be responsible for managing stroke patients, including ischemic and hemorrhagic cases, as well as post-neurosurgery management. This role requires a strong neurocritical care background with an emphasis on ventilated patients and dysrhythmia management.

Care for stroke patients, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes

Manage external ventricular drains (EVD) and lumbar drains (LD)

Administer blood products and monitor vital signs

Provide continuous IV sedation and manage sedation protocols

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for patient care

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit

Current ACLS and BCLS certifications required

Experience with arterial line management preferred

Must pass EKG testing prior to start
