With a commitment to teamwork and quality, together we can offer exceptional care to our patients.The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides appropriate care to patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner. She/he assists the patient's care team in implementing the medical plan of care.Essential Functions:Clinical duties may include, but are not limited to:Assists physicians with patient visits which include: rooming and interviewing patients, taking and recording vital signs to include; height and weight, documenting medications, and entering the information in the patients' electronic medical record (EMR)Prepares and reviews patients' EMR according to standard Pre-Visit Prep work flow. Reviews EMR entries for completeness ensuring all required information is includedScans all pertinent information into the EMRPerforms and assists providers with routine and/or specialized clinical proceduresAdministers ordered medications and vaccines in a safe, accurate, professional and timely manner following policies and proceduresAssist in making follow-up appointments and consultation appointments with specialists for patientsPerforms all other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilitiesAdditional Performance ExpectationsContributes to the overall patient experience and satisfactionParticipates in performance improvement activitiesPerforms all other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilitiesAdheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirementsCompletes annual health screening and online training modulesPerforms work in accordance with established schedules, policies and proceduresMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDValid California Licensed Vocational Nurse LicenseOne (1) year License Vocational Nurse nursing experienceCurrent CPR CertificationExperience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPMStrong verbal and written communications, and active listening skillsSolid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient mannerAbility to accurately perform basic mathExcellent attention to detailAbility to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflowAbility to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative and willing to assist others
