Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a 12-week night shift travel contract requiring cardiac and neuro experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• CVICU unit within an acute care hospital (276 staffed beds)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating within scope to similar units is expected, with travelers floating first
• Charting via Epic
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered)
• Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant experience required (2 years preferred)
• Cardiac and neuro experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to start date
