About the Position

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 5 years License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission Certifications: ARRT N, CNMT Must-Have: - Minimum of 5 years of experience - Traveler experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers - Previous charge experience preferred - Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work in adult, pediatric, and clinic settings. The position requires experience with Siemens equipment and various procedures. Common procedures include gastric emptying, HIDA scans, Muga scans, and bone scans. Experience in brain scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, renal flow studies, and thyroid studies is essential. Knowledge of drawing venous blood, isolation precautions, and handling radioactive materials is required. Candidates must be able to start and maintain IVs. The professional will perform SPECT and myocardial studies including adenosine infusion and pharmacological stress tests. Interdisciplinary support services will be available in the unit. Call requirements include rotating nights, and weekend coverage is needed every third weekend. The unit is blocked for scheduling, with a patient ratio of 1:4. Familiarity with EPIC charting system is required. All candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed. Candidates must comply with all necessary testing and modules prior to starting.
