Full-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers support the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring that policies, procedures, and operational standards are followed. They are cross‑trained across all departments, provide inspirational coaching to employees, and can advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and a minimum of six months on the job. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff. Work in all departments and all theatre job functions. Train and coach team members in their specific job functions. Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment. Report needed repairs to the General Manager. Ensure team members follow the dress code. Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer service. Learn, follow, and enforce Cinemark policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Report all employee relations issues to the General Manager or via when the GM is absent. Maintain a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct. Identify and sanitize high‑contact employee and guest areas. Properly use personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the required cleaning schedule. Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, or suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements At least 18 years of age. High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Complete the three basic courses in Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core). Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required local, state, or health card/permit. Have Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliable and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude on each shift. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with all ages, genders, and personalities. Ability to converse in and comprehend English effectively. Team and independent work capability. Compliance with direction and a sense of urgency. Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Conflict resolution skills. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
