It involves advising management on project-level issues, guiding junior engineers, operating with little supervision, and applying knowledge of technical best practices.\n\nJob Description:\n\nEssential Responsibilities: \n\n * Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.\n * Advises immediate management on project-level issues\n * Guides junior engineers\n * Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices\n * Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions\n\n\n\nExpected Qualifications:\n\n * 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor\u2019s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\n\n\nAdditional Responsibilities \u0026 Preferred Qualifications:\n\nAdditional Qualifications\n\n * Strong foundation in programming concepts and data structures.\n * Experience with backend development using Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask.\n * Understanding of web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.\n * Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Interest in large-scale, high-performance distributed systems.\n * Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).\n * Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).\n * Hands-on experience with low-latency in-memory databases such as Redis.\n * Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems such as SQS/SNS/Kafka/RabbitMQ/Pulsar.\n * Experience implementing CI/CD, automated testing, and observability to improve delivery quality and operational resilience.\n * Contributions to open-source projects or participation in developer communities.\n * Awareness of the payment processing industry and related compliance or regulatory standards.\n\n\n\nSubsidiary:\n\nVenmo\n\nTravel Percent:\n\n0\n\n-\n\nThe base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
