Material Handler

Under the direction of the Distribution Supervisor, with guidance from the Warehouse Lead, the material handler is responsible for safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within a warehouse. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications and supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.

Essential Function

• Receiving and inspecting packages.
• Retrieving orders to fulfill customers' needs.
• Utilizing safety and efficiency to load and unload materials.
• Transporting materials into proper locations within warehouse.

Other Functions

• Utilize equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Success in this role will require

• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with employees on assigned duties.
• Preparing materials for shipment.
• Ensuring that packaging, labeling, and documentation is correct.

What You'll Bring

• Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills.
• Appropriate use of PPE.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• High school diploma preferred Warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when properly notified in order to meet the needs of our customers.
