Grounds Maintenance

Position SummaryThe Grounds Maintenance workers are key team members that perform different tasks to achieve a functional and pleasant outdoor and indoor environment. This position also includes parking lot attendant duties. Hilltop has multiple parking lots and maximizing the capacity of these lots on busy days will ensure we are utilizing our parking efficiently, while also ensuring roadways and turnarounds are open and free in case of emergency vehicles.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Assist guests and employees in parking uniformly and efficientlyAssist in snow removal around lodge and walkwaysAssists in laying ice melt to the sidewalks and walkwaysAssists in mowing around the lodge and adjoining groundsAssists in landscaping along roads and around Hilltop buildingsAssists in carpentry projectsAssigned special projects as directed by Mt ManagerInspect and ensure landscape equipment are in safe operating conditionsAssists with preventative maintenance tasksPerforms manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials, supplies and equipmentEnsures facility, vehicles, and equipment are clean and organizedAlert to and aware of potentially dangerous situations on roads and walkwaysCommunicate with supervisor and co-workers via radiosKeep parking areas clean, neat, and free of trash and debrisAnswer guest questions with patience and pleasantnessMust work well with all other departments. Must be respectful of all guests and employees.Performing other duties as directedPromotes and exemplifies a culture of exceptional guest service, teamwork, innovation, and fun! Asks questions, shares concerns, or gives ideas on innovation and efficiencies that improve both the guests’ and employees’ experience.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to pass a pre-employment background checkMust have reliable transportationMust have a clean driving recordAble to work up to 40 hours per week including holidays, weekends, and evenings, as necessary.Any combination of education and experience that can demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the work.Previous experience operating small equipment; skid steer, excavator, plow truck preferredWillingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructionsAbility to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.Ability to lift heavy objects while raking, shoveling, and lifting large metal objectsAbility to communicate orally and in writing.Strong communication skills and good judgement skills in dealing with guests.Ability to react quickly under pressure.Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.Ability to understand, follow, transmit written and oral instructions.Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions.Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.E04JI8003qkf406rkri #J-18808-Ljbffr
