Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive,open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificateprograms on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland,Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will join a vibranteducational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population ofstudents with various needs and backgrounds. This is a part-time, studentemployment position with no benefits. Reporting to the Admissions OfficeCoordinator the candidate will provide excellent customer service inafast-pacedoffice environment and perform clerical duties asassigned.Assisting withAdmissions outreachandeventsthat connecthighschool’s students, adult learners andcareer changers toMassBay’scareerand technicaleducationprograms. Weekendsand evenings as needed. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Greet visitors and current, former, andprospective students who visit the Admissions Office; help determine theirneeds and refer to the appropriate person/department; Use Slate (CRM) to better assist visitors; Host campus tours for prospective students; RepresentMassBay as a studentrepresentativeand speakabout yourexperiencewith the collegeat internalandexternalevents; Use Microsoft Teams group chat to collaboratewith Admissions staff members in order to assist in-office visitors withtheir inquiries; Check the Admissions voicemail twice daily at thebeginning and end of work shifts, and outreachtoapplicants byphone regarding their application status and next steps towardenrollment; Assist with scanning or filing student records; Provide Admissions Office with support duringlarge scale events, such as fall and spring Open House; Assemble Admissions’ hard copy communications andinformation packets. Required Qualifications: Consistent and reliable work habits; Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Sensitivity to the confidentiality of student records with respect to FERPA law. Preferred Qualifications: Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affermative Action; Experience working in a community college or similar environment; Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need; Experienceproviding customer service to the public; Understandingof how each college department serves students and families; Fluency in a languageother than English is preferred. Additional Information: Salary Range: $19 per hour Source of Funding: Federal Work Study Application Deadline: September30th, 2026,or thereafter until filled.
