Adjunct Instructor, Respiratory Therapy

Adjunct faculty positions provide quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis and may be assigned to day or evening courses. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Provides didactic and / or clinical instruction as assigned by the program director Supervises and evaluates student clinical and/or lab performance Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour Selects learning experiences that facilitate the student attainment of course student learning outcomes Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment Grades and returns student work in a timely manner Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course Maintains clinical experience records and grades in accordance with institutional / departmental policies Maintains current certifications / license / credentials to practice in their profession Utilizes a variety of instructional evaluation methods considering learning styles and teaching / learning theory Skills Participates in ongoing curriculum evaluation and recommend curriculum changes as appropriate to the changing needs of the program, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Able to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning Good organizational skills Innovative, creative, motivated and work well with others Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills Able to maintain records accurately and able to meet deadlines consistently Able to perform normal duties with minimal supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential Requirements Associate's degree in respiratory therapy Unofficial transcripts must be attached with your online application prior to submission or submitted to Human Resources immediately upon completing the application.
