Job Summary


The Medical Assistant will work in the Family Medicine department, responsible for rooming about 25 patients per day. This role involves completing manual blood pressures, vitals, EKGs, stocking supplies, answering phone, triaging patients and helping to schedule appointments. The Medical Assistant will work mainly in a 1:1 environment with a provider and participate in point-of-care testing and minor surgical procedures such as IUDs.


Key Responsibilities

• Rooming approximately 25 patients per day.
• Performing manual blood pressures, vitals, and EKGs.
• Stocking supplies and managing clinic inventory.
• Answering phones, triaging patients, and scheduling appointments.
• Working closely in a 1:1 environment with a healthcare provider.
• Involvement in point-of-care testing and minor surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• MA Diploma.
• Able to perform manual blood pressure and basic MA functions such as vitals and rooming.
• Strong computer/electronic communication skills and critical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• Manual pulse, respirations, and blood pressure using standard utensils.
• Strong computer and electronic communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience with the EPIC system.

Additional Requirements

• Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week).
