GEOTECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR
New Jersey based civil engineering firm is currently seeking Construction Inspector to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and materials testing in accordance with project requirements and client contracts.
- Ensure procedures and materials meet specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
- Review blueprints, perform field calculations, and interpret construction documents.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily field reports and material samples for testing.
- Communicate findings and issues clearly with clients and project teams.
Minimum Qualifications - Special Inspectors:
- AWS, ACI, ICC, and applicable building codes.
- Minimum 2 years of inspection experience in construction.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and adhere to site safety standards.
- Possess one or more current ICC certifications (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Fireproofing, Steel Welding/Bolting, etc.).
- Ability to interpret plans/specs and write detailed inspection reports.
- Strong communication skills and smartphone/tablet proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
