The CVICU is the designated intensive care unit for all adult critically ill, cardiothoracic- and cardiovascular‑related medical and surgical patients. Patients may be recovered in the CVICU postoperatively. The patients will remain in the CVICU until downgraded to a telemetry status at which time the patient may be transferred to a telemetry floor, medical surgical floor, or to an appropriate outside facility. Responsibilities The RN Registered Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. This position does come with a Weekend differential of $10/hr.
