Position Details:

Position Type: Direct Hire / Contract Job Location: Geneva, NY Benefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance Compensation: $21.64-33.66/hour Company will pay for relocation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with SHE training programs, deliver training sessions as needed, and actively support the site Emergency Response Team.
2. Enforce adherence to safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Industrial Hygiene, Working at Heights, and Emergency Response protocols.
3. Promote Behavior-Based Safety initiatives, monitor participation, report key SHE metrics, and conduct recurring compliance inspections.
4. Perform daily safety inspections and evaluate hazards related to new or modified operations.
5. Investigate incidents, support root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
6. Issue and manage safe work permits and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
7. Train, monitor, and manage contractors to ensure adherence to site SHE standards.
8. Support hazardous and non-hazardous waste management programs, including proper documentation and compliance.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain safety standards, housekeeping practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related physical sciences preferred.
• Familiarity with NYS DEC, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment, and corrective action planning.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and drive them to completion independently.
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to promote a strong safety culture and accountability at all organizational levels.
• Preferred certifications include: EPA Hazardous Waste, DOT Hazardous Materials, OSHA 10/30-hour, ISO 14001, 45001, and/or 50001
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
